A pair of Austro Hungarian heel crampons from WW1, used in conjunction with a four point instep piece. No front points! Inspired to upload after watching the Via Ferrata video.

Looks like they were quite prone to bending as well as their other "features".
The only thing that could possibly worse were the fortunately very short-lived (I wonder why that was), instep crampons.

Looks like they need sharpened. All kidding aside the war in the Dolomites was particularly brutal and both sides must have lived in terror constantly. Thanks for sharing.
