And yes it was almost certainly a geometrist breaking trail...

I gave it a 5, but does the moon add or detract? Discuss....
Hamfunk - 03/Apr/16
Ah we had this moon discussion in the chalet. The original moon was much bigger (taken at 300mm with a 1.4x teleconverter - ((420mm)) and then cropped). You can see it at: https://500px.com/photo/145310843/approaching-the-summit-by-james-rushforth?ctx_page=1&from=user&user_id=11445767
However I felt this looked a bit 'Sci-fi' for UKC so removed the moon. Everyone then felt there was something missing so we settled on a more realistic sized moon. One of those instances of Photoshop been used to try and make something more realistic due to perspective distortion of a large lens...

Had a look at the version in the link and found the big moon more eye catching and spectacular nice shot.

Thanks Garbhanach. I prefer that version too, the higher resolution helps as well!

Remember that final slog up well from the Lipella VFup to the summit. Did it in similar conditions to this in August once. Great image

Big moon version miles better...
Hardonicus - 20/Apr/16
Love the death star look of the big moon!

Moon eventually removed completely as I felt it was distracting...
