Lake District late 60's: Uncle Ted Howard, Jeff Oliver and me dear ol' dad.
'The Bedford Van Years' I travelled a few thousand miles in the backs of those, stuffed between camping and climbing equipment reading Famous 5 books and trying not to puke.
'Uncle Pat' Fearnehough worked for the Post Office so all his climbing mates had 1st dibs on ex-P.O. vans
Dad got ONE van that wasn't ex-P.O. An ex-fishmongers Bed. van with seagulls painted on the side. God KNOWS how I haven't been put off prawns for life. It stank from Sheffield to Cape Wrath and back again
