Fantastic !! Really evocotive of a different era. Did you know that the building on the left was designed by Clough-Ellis ? Not the same beauty as Portmeirion !

Agree - wonderful period photograph! I can remember scenes like this. Looking back, you realise how nearly everybody had next to nothing. But of course if you don't know any differently, you don't feel in the least disadvantaged. Life was far from perfect but it was still an age of such relative innocence.
