After a day of mist and low cloud the mountains finally cleared for three hours of stunning light before the first tendrils of mist crept through the gap between Liathach & Beinn Eighe and wound their way up into Coire Mhic Fhearachair. Within an hour we were again submerged in a grey featureless landscape which persisted into the next day. The midgies renewed their cloud formation attacks and we hurriedly retreated back into the tent.
