MICRO SOFT ARÊTE
Craigton: Book Vs reality
Book: Sounds fantastic, with a range of climbs from 3-7a on a range of crags, rock looked clean in the book and walk in sounds short and manageable.
Reality: Rock covered in moss, steep landing areas with long drop offs in 95% of the climbs so was hard to get a mat down. Walk in (bearing in mind you're carrying mats and bags...) was approx 20 mins, over some pretty wild terrain. However, was achingly beautiful.
Still, 10/10 adventure and would probably do it again..

June's not the best time of year to visit Craigton, that's for sure! Even just a month ago it would have been much more manageable. The moss creeps back very quickly due to the exposure and orientation of most of the blocs so it's a good idea to take a decent brush with you to make the most of it. Glad you 'kind of' enjoyed it!
