I love telephoto cityscapes juxtaposing prominent hills with historic landmarks and Edinburgh is a wonderful city for it with hills 90km away. It's essential to wait for the castle lights to come on 45-60 mins after sunset and take it immediately, while there's still some light. At the end of March the sun under the horizon is exactly in line with the castle and the orange is symmetric, so I was very lucky to get an incredibly clear night then, with a few interesting clouds too.

Lovely colour matching, very effective. No moon? 😁

I said I was very lucky, but it took four years from when I planned it 😀
