From 'Eyes to the Hills'. This is really one of the very best viewpoints in the wild heart of the Lakes .. looking straight at Scafell and Scafell Pike. On this day S and SP were in cloud , but it didn't matter because it was a superb wild autumn day with fabulous lighting conditions.
I took Griff Rhys Jones here last August for a TV prog (coming out later this year) on the Lakes. Unfortunately, on this occasion it was very grey and gloomy. :(

I spent a lot of time complaining about the prevalence of landscapes (or perhaps more accurately the lack of climbing photos) in the Top 10, but this is stunning IMO.

Thanks; but how little i actually did except get there with my medium format camera gear and heavy tripod. I was disappointed because Scafell was in cloud ... then these incredibly beautiful light patches arrived. Nature is the artist.
