Its a beaut route only about 30 mins walk from the Sunshine ski resort - and it is in the sun all day! The first 2 pitches were very nice (apart from my axe pick breaking halfway up the 2nd pitch and yes, I was leading :-) but the 3rd pitch was too mushy to offer reasonable ice screw placements, so we backed off. I tried it 10 years before this attempt but we backed off at the same point for the same reason. Probably need to do it at night next time - or (more radically) start a bit earlier !!??!!
