is that the curvature the earth we're seeing, or just lens distortion?

To be honest I'm not sure. It was an exceptional temperature inversion, sub zero at all levels, taken with a Minox 35, with a fixed 35m lens. Normally at that focal length there is no noticeable distortion of vertical or horizontal lines. I would be interested to know myself.
