It's the Namib... the picture was taken near Dune 45, half way between Sesriem and Sossussvlei. Stunning place!

I boosted the saturation and the orange a tiny bit in PS, but only a tiny bit. The whole desert in Sesriem is made of red sand, and when the sun is low in the sky, it reflects a vibrant red light everywhere - it really does look that red !
