Thought I'd try and sneak this one in again with all the recent subversive fuana resurgence on the gallery

Cant see why it wasnt allowed in the first place - for me it sums up thast both exhilarating AND disconcerting feeling when birds are flying BELOW you on a big route. Great shot - 5*
P.S. Its the alpine choughs that do it for me - the way they do acrobatics around you when you are on an alpine route - almost as if the little b*stards are trying to put you off.

P.S. Be interesting to see the effect if you could try to "lift" the bird a bit from the background in photoshop or similar

I wanted this picture so much I carried my DSLR up the route especially ( our line seemed to be E3ish ), background blurred due to panning with the bird. I wish it had lifted his head. I think it has prey in it's tallons.
