Parthian Shit E4 6b ** 8m (Wyming Brook)
The obvious steep squat prow above the start of Hawkline. Climb the crack and swing right to good jugs, jams and cams. Launch up the prow via a brilliant, tricky sequence - good conditions useful.

Cleaned on abseil and practised (but not linked) on two abseil sessions. This was only done because it was a new route and I didn't know if it was possible - a ground up attempt would have resulted in many falls, bad for ropes, gear, and pelvic comfort. The grade is an estimate: although it is safe and felt easy after practise, I think it would be hard to work out on-sight. The name has no political connotations, it just amused my puerile mind :). It's a great bit of climbing for it's size and despite the guidebook's warning, the rock dried pretty quick even in a showery winter. Go to it.
