Richard was asked to lead Goliath's Groove by bridgeing only to prove that it could be done. He wasn't very happy.

Hi.. just wondered if he bridged all the way to the sloping ledge..? only i was there yesterday and had a nightmare jamming up to it..:) thanx

Yes, he bridged the hard bit, but placing gear was a delicate task. At least with jamming you can more easily place your gear.

Total respect ! The right wall felt slippery enough just using it to assist the upward struggle in the crack
