Not a serious climber these days -- just enjoy being in the mountains and doing easy Scottish climbs -- but did many Scottish IV/V and alpine D/TD classics and north faces between late 1960s and 1980, and many Munros and several alpine peaks on skinny skis after that.

Location
NE England and Strathspey

Best Climbing Experience
Top ten would include classics on the Italian side of Mt Blanc, nordwands in the Oberland, an early ascent of Orion on the Ben, exploratory mountaineering in the western Karakoram, Cairngorm Six Tops on skis.

Nant Blanc face of the Aiguille Verte. Charlet's route, right up the middle, is a brilliant climb.
