Summer 2021 update!: I've recently finished my degree to commence work as a part-time Paramedic in Bristol (for now) aiming to pursue a very balanced lifestyle of work and play. I can't get enough of UK trad climbing and my recent return from the North Coast of Scotland and Skye has taken my motivation to a whole new level. I absolutely love it.

I used to make some naff climbing films with my GoPro as a youngster which is still online (vimeo - https://vimeo.com/user12338475/videos) and a bit of a laugh. After years of taking no photos at all I've recently got into using a tripod/phone auto-timer in an attempt to capture some memories to look back on in years to come. I even finally gave in and got Instagram (trad_stanners) (...embarrassingly unimaginative I know) which I'm quite enjoying with lots of people's psyched photos to flick through.

I struggle to find the motivation to redpoint with the vast majority of my climbing being Onsight. Although I'm informed its not as naff as it seems. Might get into it one day.

Sport and indoors is a nice break from the trad when the weather is cold/wet. I am very much not a boulderer but fair play if you're into that sort of thing. DWS I need to give some more time and find it less scary!

Best Climbing Experience
It really is a difficult one, but most likely climbing 'Mothers pride' E4 5c*** at Elgol in the glorious sunshine over the turquoise waters - which finished my first magical trip to Scotland taking my trad psyche to a whole new level. A relaxed state of euphoria giving me the upmost level of contentment and happiness.
