I'm a single mum with a toddler getting back into my climbing. Trying to get away weekends as much as possible and finding the Pinnacle Club really good for meeting up with other like minded females. Not been able to get to a wall for (literally) years so a weak as hell, but found carrying around a 2 and a half stone child in a backpack has helped with my walking fitness without me realising it. Climbed quite widely over the UK and in Europe (lived in Holland for nearly five years) but spread out over twenty (twenty! can you believe it?) years. Pleasantly surprised that VS climbs are a doddle to go up so my head must be in gear even if my arms aren't. Not sure if I'm going to risk trying to push my grades (parental responsibility and all that) so have decided to concentrate on the classics that I haven't got round to, particularly in North Wales, and hope to build up my strength that way.

Best Climbing Experience
A weekend some years back at Pembroke when it was lovely and sunny and we got loads done and had a good laugh, la Paltrone at Cala Gonone in Sardinia this Easter climbing with a friend I'd not climbed with since uni, Orgon in the south of France when I was on a roll and felt really strong, just stitting at the top of any route belaying and feeling the sun and the wind on my face and simply enjoying being outside amongst the crags.
