Best Climbing Experience
Botterill's Slab underneath Sca Fell. I led the bit up to the slab, then Smollet led the rest. Even though I was only seconding the hard stuff, I found it very exhilirating, especially the main slab. I didn't think I could do it, but I had to because it was the easiest way down.

Anything Else We Should Know
I grew up in Somerset and went climbing once when I was little. Climbing is not nearly as popular down there than it is in the north of England. One of my favourite questions, when telling people that I climb was "Are you from Sheffield?" It took me a while before I knew why they liked that question. Back in Somerset I climbed trees, and I have always been afraid of heights. If I wasn't, I wouldn't climb.
