Best Climbing Experience
Numerous days on the cliffs of West Penwith with good friends, cragging in the Val Durance, in the total absence of ice, and footling around, mainly alone, in unfashionable parts of the Alps near Glarus and the Klausen Pass. Unsuccessful attempt on the Cuillin Ridge, successful attempt at Welsh 3000s, both long ago.
More recently, the GR20 with my family has been a highlight and doing the Welsh 3000s again with my wife became something of an obsession, finally ticked in May 2013. Well done us!
Since then have mainly been a runner, of wild places when I can. I attempted the Bob Graham Round in 2013 and was well off the pace, but have done a couple of coast path ultras since then, including the CQ and the Roseland RAT, as well as a 3:10 Grizzly. Still running and exploring, getting muddy and trying to keep less fat as I age.
