Best Climbing Experience
( 1 ) Climbing in Cornwall for the first time in 2004 (HVD 140ft) - easy climb but I loved it, the exposure and the setting
( 2 ) Descending the ladders into Mer-de-Glace in hiking boots with no ropes or protection with Matt Jarvis, and later singing "Common People" to the glacier with friends from a deserted platform in the evening and listening to the glacier crack.
( 3 ) Topping out of my first ice climb in Norway, turning and looking out to the deep Rjukan valley and seeing the white-out had cleared. Didn't like the route though!
( 4 ) Being out at Rivelin in perfect winter sunshine
( 5 ) Scrambling Tower Ridge up the Ben on my birthday in boiling hot weather
( 6 ) Two sunny days in the Peak with Andy Barker and his encouragement to get up The Chant and Via Media - ta mate!
( 7 ) UKC trip to Lundy, a magical place indeed. We'll be back someday
