Outdoor experience mainly hillwalking, winter mountaineering and sailing but have been moving on to scrambling and Alpine mountaineering over the last few years. I like high performance dinghies: http://www.uk-cherub.org/doku.php/start?purge=true Our boat (sadly now sold) was called Loco Perro (see boats page on UK-Cherub if interested) Have sailed across channel and to Spain, I like rough weather but the Bay of Biscay was scary. First Alpine season 2008 - awesome. Now pushing AD grade on a good day.
I'm now mostly retired after 33 years in the National Health Service and spend my time planning my return to music performance and getting groups of mates together to go mountaineering. My daughter has emigrated to New England and I'm often to be found in Rockfall Ct.

Best Climbing Experience
Winter walks up Snowdon and watching Sam (now 24) climbing Tryfan which convinced me I had to learn to use ropes...which has lead me places maybe I didn't want to go...but loving it. Aiguille du Tour (success) and Mont Blanc du Tacul (heroic failure). Getting onto steepish ice on Aiguille du Toule with wife and 11 year old which gave glimpses of possible future trips...she hasn't refused. I love general mountaineering rather than the highly technical stuff. Achieved a (modest by many standards) lifetime ambition in March 2013 and climbed Central Trinity on Snowdon and then Sargeants Gully a month later...awesome!
