I have a large family (5 children!)and business to run that keeps me happy but busy. I don't climb nearly much as I would like to, but this does mean that when I do climb I am motivated and focused (although weak and scared!)I now live just north of Wolverhampton, but used to be a long-term North Wales resident, so have climbed over 60 different winter routes in Wales, which is not bad considering the usual conditions (or lack of!). I was lucky to live in Bhutan for 2 years which was great, and allowed me to do a lot of trekking and some mountaineering out there. I have also lived in Nepal for a while.Location

Best Climbing Experience
Reaching the summit of Island peak solo at sunrise with no one else on the mountain. A spiritual highpoint.
Lying on the grass in the sun, with a beer, after climbing a demanding big Alpine route or big wall, when the grasser is greener and the sky bluer than normal, and all is well with the world! (It only lasts a day!!).
