I climb frequently, usually nothing too desperate. I’m a fan of long classic multipitch routes. I’ve got around 25 years of Alpine experience doing lower and middle-grade routes - and plenty of good tales! Currently looking to climb my last 4000ers. I completed the Munros in 1995.Technically, I'm not the best, happy leading lower grade routes. If you want me to belay you up something harder, and haul me up afterwards, that's fine too!
I'm often available to climb, and have been known to make long journeys for a bit of climbing! Feel free to tempt me...

Best Climbing Experience
Impossible to single one out, but some highlights include Matterhorn, Obergabelhorn, Lenzspitze-Nadelhorn traverse, Dent Blanche, Liskamm traverse, Monch Nollen, Grandes Jorasses, Dent du Geant (ignoring the fixed ropes), Illinizas, Cuillin main ridge traverse.

Interests Outside Climbing
I'm vegetarian and care about the environment and animal welfare. I have a PhD in an esoteric subject. Play chess and bridge. 80s music! I like my creature comforts - particularly a good pub - a few pints, plans and good stories go down nicely after a day’s climbing.
