Came to Climbing over backpain in a period i was a part time Student, when there was no time for sports at all - before and after this time i spent a lot of time with hillwalking and scrambling. Orthopaedic told me, that my Upper body muscles where in a horrible condition. He advised me to do proper Upperbody workouts and so i started bouldering in the E4 Gym in Nuremberg. As things happen, i met a lot of sportsclimbers there....
So now my focus is on Sportsclimbing and Bouldering in the near Frankenjura. Since the well protected crags (there are few here) are crowded in the weekends i developed a passion for Trad. Since trad in Frankenjura is a bit tricky, often the Granitecrags of Fichtelgebirge and Steinwald are the Area of Choice for Trad near Nuremberg.

Love to travel to winter bouldering locations like Font, Annot and Southtyrol, in Summer it´s all about alpine Ridges, alpine climbing and alpine bouldering.

Would love to visit Northwales and Peak District to get more real trad experience.

Last not least, i really enjoy the quality of Pictures, Destination Articles and valuable Comment section of this Forum.

a 15 Pitch alpine climb this Summer (2017)
Trad: A gnarly Route called Huei-Riss in Steinwald (UIAA 5+), wich was my first real Tradroute, and i fell into a No1 Hex - it held me well.
