Best Climbing Experience
Can't restrict it to one, variety is the spice of life. I like grit, granite, and limestone (as long it's pockety, not polished, and preferably abroad). I like long routes up big crags with long walk ins, and short roadside crags. I like putting in gear and I like clipping bolts. I like going to far away remote places with no-one else around and no polish, and I like Stanage... I like playing in the snow, winter climbing and trips to the Alps, and I like soaking in the sun as I climb. I've recently discovered that I *can* lead VS, and not actually find the climbing too difficult, I just have to tell my head to shut up :o). I also managed to lead a 6b on sport :o) - need to go back now and lead it without a rest....

Interests Outside Climbing
I like being outside.
I try to run. I try to do mountain marathons. I try to road bike. I try to get fit. I can't actually claim to 'do' any of these things with much success.
I'm also trying to play the saxophone.
About My Photography
I like taking photos. Lots of them. They may not be technically stunning, but they capture the moment and bring back all the memories of that day.

Anything Else We Should Know
My name is Helen and I am addicted to shiny things. And tents. And sleeping bags. And technical clothing. And woolly hats. And cameras.
Oh, and anything that appears to be smaller/ lighter/ better than what I already own.
