I’ve been climbing since 2017 when I started out bouldering at the then new Ballroom Climbing Wall in Coventry. I continued at Mile End Climbing Wall after moving to London. There I met some mates who took me to Stanage for my first roped climb on rock in 2018 and I’ve never looked back!Most of my experience is single pitch climbing in the UK on limestone or grit, but multipitch trad is my favourite.
2022 was a great year for my climbing as I got more outdoor trips in than in any previous year, including my first visits to Snowdonia, Swanage and Chullia. The latter two of these were with Not So Trad, a BMC affiliated club for LGBT+ climbers, friends and allies, which I joined in the summer of 2022 and with which I remain actively involved.
I got my Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) award in April 2023, and I'm part of the team behind ClimbOut, the UK's first queer outdoor rock climbing festival. The inaugural festival was held at Thornbridge Outdoors near Bakewell in May 2023 and was a great success. Already excited for ClimbOut 2024!
