Traversing the Cuillin Ridge, hacking up gullies in the Pyrennees, pulling through the cornice on Ben Nevis, basking in winter sun at Smallacombe rocks, soloing, nearly losing faith in the spindrift below Ruhle, retreating off a Mod on Skye, long rock routes in the mountains, and more or less anything on a ridge.

used to be 'the ethics of travel to troubled areas at the moment', now appears to be why I don't think I'll ever be bothered about not climbing mid-E's (and what you gonna do to make me change my mind?)
