Email User

When I'm not out running, I run my own web design & photography business, Climbers.net, which provides web design for some of the best climbing sites around. I've done all the design & technical work on UKC/UKH since 1999.

I've had really bad finger injuries since 2005, so these days I'm lucky if I can climb some juggy VDiffs a few times a year :( I've been getting into mountaineering & ice climbing, as well as trail & ultra running, which has been quite a change from obsessing over a few metres of gritstone!

I've completed several great ultras during 2011, and the goal for 2012 is a Bob Graham Round attempt :)

Location
Sheffield, England.

Best Climbing Experience
So many to choose from! A trip to Wimberry on a hot summer's day, where we ticked our way through all the classic VS-E1 routes there, staggering back down in the dark, completely knackered. Leading The Rasp at Higgar Tor: steep and juggy. Mmmmm :) Belaying my best mate at Curbar as she onsighted her first ever E4. Out of my mind on adrenaline as I screamed my way up Fleur de Rhum (Fontainebleau) in the freezing cold. Soloing my first Winter grade I with blue skies, fresh snow and a deserted Peak District.

Why I climb grit in the Summer. Training. Injuries. Eating disorders. Oh, and does my bum look big in these shorts? ;-)
