First and foremost an active rock climber second to that I work as a professional mountaineering instructor, climbing coach and author for Rockfax.

I love to teach people how to climb and help people to improve their climbing game. In following this passion I have also gained a MSc in Applied Sport Science with Effective Coaching, Performance Physiology and Sport Psychology.

I am also a writer having written a variety of books on Climbing including:

"North Wales Climbs" - Rockfax
"North Wales Slate" - Rockfax
"Hanging By a Thread: The History, Science, Technology and culture of rock climbing and mountaineering"

I also write for Climber Magazine previously the Ascent of Man column and now I write the Coaching Column.
