Been climbing for many years. Previously involved in instructing / outdoor education - still do some on a voluntary level. Love all aspects from walking and scrambling to rock, winter and alpine / himalayan epics. Favourite is linking UK rock routes together and longer alpine routes; rock and mixed.
Trad climbing all over England and Wales on a regular basis. Sport in New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Italy. At least one trip per year winter climbing in Scotland / Wales or Lakes. 30 plus summer alpine seasons in European Alps, 2 in New Zealand and trips to Iceland and Khumbu area of the Himalaya (4 peaks attempted, 3 climbed).
Ski mountaineering in New Zealand, downhill skiing in Europe most years. Especially enjoy off piste and deep powder.

Best Climbing Experience
Racing up the Papillons Ridge late on a sunny afternoon with nobody else on the route at all! ( Long walk back to the valley though! )
Climbing Mt Ruapehu then skiing down ( quite quickly as it started to erupt )
