I am a retired chemistry teacher. I go climbing indoors a couple of times a week and I also "enjoy" "running". I sometimes manage to actually do some real rock-climbing. I also make the effort to do hillwalking and scrambling. I really don't do Scottish winter climbing or "alpinism" any more but occasionally feel nostalgic for it. I am still trying to get a few more Classic Rock ticks and dream of doing a few more easy Hard Rock ticks.Location

Doing the traverse of La Meije in August 1991 with an under-equipped,unplanned bivouac on the way off, my first long Alpine route.
