Grew up in Birmingham. I started climbing when I was in my mid teens on the derbyshire gritstone crags of Roaches and Hen Cloud as part of a scouts group. My climbing got a new lease of life when I went to university in Bangor where I was an commitee member of the mountaineering society and also under took my SPA training. I climbed most days of the week specialising in the slabby technical climbs of the slate quarries but also tremadog and the mountain cliffs.
My climbing was brought to a halt (temporarily) due to inflicting two ancle injuries in quick succession. Once decking out on an E3 in the slate and then bouldering down near the cromlech resulting in severe soft tissue damage. Two trips to Ysbty Gwynedd (not in the big yellow taxi!)and months/years of physio since.
Currently getting back into climbing, trying to build up the confidence and the skill that I once had and lost.
looking forward to getting out in the mountains, improving my fitness levels again and building upon past experiences with the intention gaining enough experience/confidence to go to the alps in the next few years.

Best Climbing Experience
Scaring myself to a near gibbering wreck on Right-Trinity, Snowdon in white out conditions and not a great deal of ice.

Onsighting Silly Arete E3 5C(6a?) at Tremadog

Going to Fontainbleu, getting gladular fever for the week, still climbed Font 6c.
