Best Climbing Experience
Leading Central Climb (VS) at Almscliff in my third week of trad leading without knowing the grade til I topped out. Pulling through the crux of Birdlime traverse and realising that I hadn't fallen off. Feeling exposed on Cherry Valley Rib after stuffing half my rack into the half-way break. Realising that I'd got to the second bolt on Looning The Tube without noticing the run-out, because I'd been so engrossed in looking for a promised cam placement. Standing at the peg on Shivers Arete, working out the sequence, composing myself, and pulling the moves to the top. Climbing hundreds of metres of pristine granite on the Isle of Arran with not another soul about. Climbing the Rebuffat after being told it was 'all VS' shaking like a shitting dog but loving it all the way. Getting up the 6a slabs in Hoces de Vegacervera purely because we had abseiled off the other 5+ route and I wasn't willing to back off 2 routes in a day. Pulling through my first 7a, albeit on top-rope, in Coalla, and feeling like it wasn't impossible. Leading every pitch of Espolon Tabuyo on La Mesa, and every time I have seen it on the drive past since.
