Finally retired, rather later than I would have hoped but that's just how it worked out. Still have lots of plans, Covid set some of them back but I've now started to get into my stride with this retirement business.

Best Climbing Experience
Cemetery Gates at 17, with four pieces of gear. Every route I've ever done in the Alps. Backpacking, particularly with my (now grown up) kids. Trips to the Highlands, it's time to resume my Munro ticking. The next climbing trip.

Interests Outside Climbing
Family - now including grandchildren. Sailing my boat (Bavaria 30) out of Whitehaven; skiing and ski touring; mountain biking; folk music; politics. I used to be interested in work, but that's receding fast.
