Best Climbing Experience
Impossible to name one, here's some of my favourites over the years:
Dent du Geant 2023
Old Man of Stoer 2022
Every single one of my many traverses of the Cuillin ridge during 1987-2022.
Dibona Arete, Cime Grande, 2019.
First ascents of 20 mountains in the Tian Shan and Pamirs of Kyrgyzstan 2016-19. First ascent of the North face of Pik Semenova-Shanski
Delighted to make the first ever recorded ascent of Mukot Peak (6087m) in the Himalayas in 2015. Getting up and down Ama Dablam by the SW ridge in Nov 2013 was wonderful. Also really pleased to make first ascents of 3 remote mountains in NE Greenland in April 2013. Chuffed to climb Denali, by "easy" West Butt route in 2011. Ascent of Nelian and Batian also felt great in 2010. Was seriously chuffed in 2007 to get up Dent Blanche (south ridge), Matterhorn (Hornli) and Eiger (up Mittellegi Ridge - down the south ridge) in 8 days of fab conditions. Happy days!
