*** I LOVE CLIMBING***
I'm not particularly good at it but I love it. I love the craic with climbing buddies, I love the frisson as you're about to make a move that you don't know if it will work, I love the views, the sunsets, the quiet, the noise, the feel of the rock.
I've had a long while not climbing regularly and I feel so happy to be back. Climbing is my happy place. I'm now working at getting back into leading and building back strength and technique. Looking forward to many more happy days. :D If you see me on the crag, say hello, I'm a chatty person (in case you hadn't guessed already :D )

My old profile blurb below for anyone interested :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was taken to Burbage North in September 2008 by my "then" boyfriend and tied on to a rope and pointed at 20-foot crack and told to climb it! So I did, not knowing whether I should be able to or not and got the bug so booked on a beginners climbing course down in Wales Easter 2009 and the bug well and truly took hold! After that I climbed for a few years and then moved to Spain, the idea being to climb all the time. It didn't happen so I'm back in UK now older fatter and wiser and looking to get back into climbing as soon as lockdown is over!!! :D
*** UPDATE 7th July 2009 ***
Leading VDiff but did my first HS lead on Slab Recess Direct at Froggatt a week or so ago and loved it. Thanks go to everyone who has partnered me thus far, all invaluable experience. Loving every outing.
*** UPDATE 16th Jan 2010 ***
Despite carrying various injuries I'm fairly confident leading S/HS and even a few VS, just depends what they look like on the day. Embankment 1 was one of those at the back end of October last year. I'd looked at Embankment 2, stuck my left hand in the crack and knew my dodgy left shoulder wouldn't cope. Embankment 1 relied more on the right :D Still loving it and despite the dodgy shoulder, dodgy left thumb and seriously unstable right wrist and middle finger, am off to El Chorro in February for my birthday. :D
*** UPDATE 17th April 2010 ***
Managed to complete more than 365 climbs in my first year...thats one a day :-) some admittedly repeats so must do better as my teachers used to say :D
*** UPDATE 25th April 2010 ***
Wooohooo!!! Just led my first E1, Better Late than Never at Rivelin :-) and yeah I know it's low in the grade...but what a buzz! :D
*** UPDATE 10th Sept 2010*** The end to my third day out climbing captured on Helicopter Heroes! :-/
*** UPDATE April 2012 ***
Just done the Crack School with Tom Randall and Pete Whittaker and found out how little I actually know about jamming :-)
*** :-) I LOVE CLIMBING :-) ***
*** Update Sept 2018 *** Wow...such a long time since the last update. Barely climbed in that time due to a number of things...injuries, putting on a ton of weight, crap weather, arthritis, redundancy, work etc. Now hoping to move to Spain to do a little gentle climbing in the sunshine :-) ... it's sport rather than trad, limestone rather than grit but at least it's climbing :D
***UPDATE May 2019 ***
Yay....finally got moved to Spain. Can see El Chorro and Valle de Abdalajis from the end of the lane :D It's been so long since I did any real climbing I've become very old and very fat so looking forward to making some changes :D
Anything Else We Should Know
I used to be a physiotherapist and may go back to it soon now that I realise I'm too poor to be retired :-)
