Multiple positions in London's Westway Climbing Gear News

The Westway Climbing centre has the unique opportunity to be able to advertise multiple positions in our Climbing team - Climbing Activities co-ordinator, Climbing Duty Manager, Climbing Coaches and Climbing Customer Services Advisors.

The Westway, otherwise known as the best and biggest lead climbing centre in London, is looking for talented individuals to join us in our Customer service, Operations and Coaching teams. Positions range from full time to casual from £22k (pro rata) per annum to £27.5k per annum, depending on role and experience. Job purposes are highlighted below. Not only are you joining the Westway team but you will also be working with one of the UKs largest employer of climbing professionals (Everyone Active) and all the advancement opportunities that go with it.

Climbing Activities co-ordinator (40 hours a week / Full time position available)

You will be responsible for one of the largest & most successful climbing programmes in the UK.

Your role will be to ensure the general day to day management and organization of the climbing programme, managing customer's pathway and bookings, and ensuring that all coaches are correctly allocated to deliver the programme.

You will work closely with the Head Climbing Coach and the Climbing Front of House Manager to ensure the scheduling and administration of the climbing coaching programme is carried out; and that all customers are communicated with effectively.

Climbing Duty Manager (40 hours a week / Full time position available)

You will be responsible for supervising all aspects of health and safety to ensure the safety of customers, climbing coaches, route setters and contractors. You will ensure the climbing walls are well used and maintained to a high standard by offering safe, exciting and challenging routes to climb and provide expert advice to climbing customers on all aspects of climbing. Climbing Duty Managers are a key reference point for staff and customers while on shift and are knowledgeable in all operations within the climbing centre.

Climbing Coaches (Casual contracts available)

You will provide coaching in all aspects of the Westway Climbing Programme. As a Climbing Coach, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating customers. You will help people of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels develop their confidence through climbing, and will be responsible for promoting a safe climbing environment for experienced and novice climbers alike.

Climbing Customer Services Advisor (40 hours a week / Full time position available)

You will be responsible for delivering high quality customer service to all customers, in-line with the organisational policies and procedures. You will work as part of a team to ensure the operational running of the climbing department on a day-to-day basis. Your enthusiasm, positive and friendly attitude will ensure customers encounter a welcoming and enjoyable experience at all times. You will perform a multidisciplinary role covering entry, booking, retail and hire.
