The Westway and West 1 Climbing centres (the most central Roped climbing centres in London) have the opportunity to be able to advertise for multiple positions in our Climbing team - Climbing Duty Manager and Climbing Coaches.

The centres are looking for talented individuals to join us in our Operations and Coaching teams. Positions range from full time to casual from £11.05 to £19 per hour (£23k to £39.5k FTE per annum), depending on role and experience. Job purposes are highlighted below. Not only are you joining the Westway and West 1 team but you will also be working with one of the UKs largest employer of climbing professionals (Everyone Active) and all the advancement opportunities that go with it.

Climbing Duty Manager

• 24 hours available per week.
• £23k to £26k FTE per annum.

You will be responsible for supervising all aspects of health and safety to ensure the safety of customers, climbing coaches, route setters and contractors. You will ensure the climbing walls are well used and maintained to a high standard by offering safe, exciting and challenging routes to climb and provide expert advice to climbing customers on all aspects of climbing. Climbing Duty Managers are a key reference point for staff and customers while on shift and are knowledgeable in all operations within the climbing centre.

Climbing Coaches

• Casual to contracted 32 hours available per week.
• Multiple positions available.
• £11 to £19ph depending on experience, product and additional qualifications.

We are looking for all levels of coaches from enthusiastic climbers all the way up to qualified coaches with competitive pay rates to match. From grassroots coaching of NICAS and adult beginners all the way through to international competitive climbers we cover the breadth and as such we want to see you coaching here if you think this is the career for you.

All pay ranges being reviewed from April.
