We are looking for passionate climbers to join our team as Duty Managers.

We have been the market leader in delivering a fun, inclusive, and rewarding indoor climbing experience since the opening of our first centre in the amazing St Benedict's Church, Manchester, in 2005. We offer climbing for everyone, building a passionate community that inspires and grows the next generation of climbers. Climbing is one of the fastest growing lifestyle sports in the UK and Europe and our new centre will give people the ability to embrace the climbing experience, community, and lifestyle that we love.

With our newest centre in Wandsworth opening in July 2023, we will encompass all types of climbing: bouldering, top-roping, lead climbing,speed climbing, and auto-belays. Built by Entre-Prises, the wall is state of the art and includes a carbon copy of the Olympic bouldering wall from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. During their time in the centre, our customers, novice to experienced, can also enjoy delicious locally sourced food and drinks from our café, train in our fitness room and enjoy our retail offering.

Our Duty Managers are responsible for the day to day running of the centre, mentoring the instructor and reception team in order to create an atmosphere where customers can have fun, try climbing for the first time, and improve their fitness in an inclusive environment, underpinned by the highest standards of safety, customer service and positive team engagement.

As well as being responsible for the day to day running of the centre, each Duty Manager would have the chance to develop their own areas of responsibility with the support of the site and company Management team. The areas of responsibilities include:

• Coaching and Youth Development
• Café Management
• Retail and Product Development
• Staff Development and Training
• Scheduling and Admin
• Route Setting
• Social Media

Open every day from morning until late evening, managing our centres requires an energetic and self-motivated person, able to motivate a team and ensure our customers have a fantastic experience during every visit leaving them looking forward to their next.

The Wandsworth site management will be well supported by an experienced company management team. We will provide training and development to ensure that the right candidates will flourish in their roles and grow with the company.
