Kelly Cordes is the senior editor of the American Alpine Journal (AAJ). He has completed many cutting edge first ascents in the high mountains all over the world.

Despite his literary and mountaineering achievements, Kelly considers his finest skill to be his ability to pour perfect Margaritas.

In this short film he discusses what Alpinism means to him, and how he goes about training for some of his longer climbs.

  • You can keep up with the AAJ in their excellent online magazine/newsletter The Alpine Briefs.

great vid....loved how it touched on the training side without getting too specific, but at the same time illuminating the fast and light ethos.

Good video, great end quote! 'Whatever you think your limit is, it's probably half of what you can actually do.'
