Having established which pads I need there is a wonderful choice of materials, on offer so far I have;

Ceramic Pro
Ceramic Hard
Copper-Free
Semi-Metallic
Sintered
Kevlar

Having not swapped pads before I would like to know is there really much difference? The pads are Shimano Deore BR-M525 and are for my commute bike, so a mix of dirt track and roads all year round. Occasionally need to slam on the anchors hard for fu*kwit drivers so stopping power is good. Any advice gratefully received

I've just bought a load of the Copper-free ones for various bikes, but haven't tried them yet

Sintered as default

(not tried Copper-Free - can't get them for my brakes, via C-the-T link)
