In reply to Hollers: How much travel and what's your budget? Personally I'm a big fan of fox forks though the official service intervals aren't for everyone. Mind in saying that I've serviced my own twice and other than that I've just taken some care looking after them and they've been fine.
Replaced mine with a set of Fox talas 36 RC2 . Much heavier but far superior in terms of stiffness,performance and ability to descend rocky stuff faster and with more confidence
Also meant I stopped whacking my knees on steep climbs where you are sat on the nose of the saddle.
