Does anyone on here know of any good video footage of bouldering in Ireland? I know the David Fitzgerald movie but can’t seem to see anything else about. Obviously I’ve got the guidebook but I like also seeing footage.

I’m heading over to Louth and then jumping to Galway ( or anywhere else that catches my eye)

cheers

The Underdeveloped DVD has quite a bit of bouldering footage in the extras section. Main film is superb too and well worth watching.

The vimeo channel Tops Off 4Power  vimeo.com/user2508499 has 'Underdeveloped' uploaded to it:

and if you go through and look at the channel you'll see other short films they've made:

Murlough Bay Boulders (Fair Head, Northern Ireland) vimeo.com/202523933

There Ain't No Bold (Co. Cork, Co. Kerry)  vimeo.com/202080712

Cooley Gabbro (Co. Louth)  vimeo.com/201451276

Wicklow Granite (Co. Wicklow)  vimeo.com/201517255

Soul Revolution 8b+ (Glenmalure, Co. Wicklow) vimeo.com/201422544

I think jumping on youtube and searching particular areas will work out pretty well for you. For instance, just typing in 'glendalough bouldering' you get a nice list of things to watch, or more specifically look up e.g. 'glendalough [boulder name]' to see particular problems i.e. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=glendalough+chillax

Tops off for power is a great place to start, absolutely agree!

In addition searching around for Ricky Bell, the guy behind Shirts off, should help find you some inspirational stuff.

The fairhead bouldering is amazing but lots of bad landings, bring all the pads.

The mournes has some great stuff too.
