Hello guys, I am French and want to do bouldering, what do you think about this crash pad as a first purchase?

Well, it’s a very good pad: large, plush and will last you a good while.  They’re jolly expensive, but if that’s not a problem I should imagine you’ll get many years of use from it and your ankles will thanks you. 

I think that is a great choice. I have the smaller version and I really like it. Snap pads tend to be heavier than other pads and quite pricey too, but they are also a bit thicker and give a more comfortable landing. I really like the fact that the bottom is waterproof, which is very helpful with UK weather. The only thing which I think could be improved is the carrying velcro system. It is okay for carrying just the one pad and a rucksack, but I am not sure if it would hold two pads, if you were to strap another one to the back (snap seem to think so as they now sell a strap to hold multiple pads together).
