No. They put the Closed sign up at Calais and you can't get off the ferry for all the stacked up junkmail 😉
It's the same as here really. Christmas Day & New Years day everything is shut. Most shops are open on all other days although some independent shops take a week off. Basically the same as going to The Peak.
