Hi all,

Can any of you recommend any good limestone bouldering areas in the southern Peak District?

Up to about f6a+/6b.

Thanks.

Harborough Rocks has a circuit at those grades.

Have a look in the BMC Southern Limestone Guidebook.

Also The P at Matlock although I always find that even the easier stuff there feels quite tough.

Id agree and add Pleasley (also in limestone South).

Plus the esoteric bouldering site has a few areas:

I've been to Pleasley a couple of times recently and was really pleased. It's a lovely after-work venue with good problems and traverses by the river.

If you haven't been before I would recommend putting the name of the road which leads down to it in your sat nav (Common Lane in Mansfield). The first time I drove from Sheffield I stuck the parking straight in Google Maps and ended up getting stopped by two private roads coming from the other (non-Mansfield) side. Very annoying!

In reply to Theo Moore:

The long low level traverse at the RH end is very good, very pumpy in the middle, and has a couple of 5c (trad grade) moves, IIRC.
