Hi Jack, only half answering your question but hopefully this is useful if you don't find someone closer. I live in Crosby and aren't aware of any climbing specialist physios locally; not to say there isn't one (ask at the Hangar maybe?)
I recently saw Andy Mcvittie about my own finger trouble. I'm not sure if he does ultrasound but I found him really knowledgeable and he was able to diagnose my finger problem (which wasn't common) seemingly pretty well from an in person examination. I think this cost £50, but he has provided me ongoing remote advice for free, which most people don't, at least not so much. So good value for money.
He is based further north but does appointments out of a room at BoulderUK. It's just off the M6 at Preston, so pretty easy to get to (and to combine with some climbing) if you have a car. His business is 'process physio', you can find him on Instagram and he goes by 'biscuit' on ukc.
Hopefully he doesn't mind me giving him a plug!
