Popped into Feuillardiere/ Telegraph today for the first time and was very impressed with the lowball circuits there: a new yellow circuit with actual proper easier grades and no polish (please keep it that way ... use small door mats or beer towels to keep boots pristine); a white kids circuits with none of the daft reaches, sandbags or scaryish descents you can get elsewhere and a fun tunnel; and a new pink heart circuit that seems perfect for toddlers. All well marked in fairly open woodland 500m from the parking down a good track with the 'departs' right next to where you arrive at the T junction. It must be the perfect place to try-out font if you are nervous about ability or with small kids. All compact in space terms, buggy friendly and no real need for bouldering mats on most problems. The parking is well marked on the south side of the Milly-Arbonne road just west of the motorway and about 3km from the local camping. We have climbed most of the easier stuff in Font over the years and this is by far the best we have seen.

Is this Telegraph hill you're talking about? Just be careful leaving your car at the main parking area as a friend's was broken into a couple of years ago.

Yes, you have to be careful out there.

There was also a muder, yup, a murder, some years ago in Font so best stay away all together.

Took my neices to upper Shepherds Crag. A great place for kids. A 10 metre slab with several diffs and vdiffs. It has a flat grassy base and a nice outlook. A great adventure for little ones.

I forgot to include the bit agreeing that it's an excellent crag, especially if there is someone climbing red problems and some beginners as they can move around the circuits together.

Its below the hill on the north side so there are only easy circuit problems ...all new and unpolished... its the end of the approach track on a flat area with lower boulders. There are obvious harder unlisted lines to go at on the steeper sides of the biggest lumps.

As for parking, is there a car park at Font where break-ins haven't occurred? It looked to be popular with walkers so not especially quiet or isolated.

Bit of a warning with Font tunnels. Check them for broken glass. Some seriously sick people had put glass mid tunnel on a kids circuit at Beauvais in Font last year.

This is a pretty open well lit tunnel due to an optional midway exit.... easy to see any such hazzards. The tunnels at Diplodocus are better if you like tighter darker options.
