In a few days I will begin my first adventure in Rocklands. Everything would be great if it weren't for the weather forecasts that show full sun and super hot temperatures. I'm staying at Alpha Excelsior, so I'll mostly be aiming for The Plateau and the 7A-7B range.

Where can I find problems in the shade to try during the hot weather? Maybe there is another crag that will be a better choice under such circumstances?

Help me out please, because I'm pretty desperate here

Hi, I'm a local but not a big boulderer.... Hang out at Alpha and De Pakhuys and you'll quickly find loads of climbers with the best beta. I know a lot of the guys rest in the midday and then go out for extended night time sessions with lamps.

Forecasts also change rapidly - even with one or two hots days, you are likely to get many great days too.

Also just be aware that some areas are closed due to a recent fire
