I’ll be going to font in April and will be meeting many old friends. Staying at bois le roi. Looks like a few folk will be without cars. Anyone have any luck with Uber or taxis to get to and from bouldering areas in font?

If there's a few of you, i suspect the cheapest and most flexible option would be to share a rental car from either the airport or central Paris if arriving by train. Daily rates should be 20-30 € for a small car depending on your exact travel dates, and you can usually sqeeze in 4 people and 2 pads, as distances are reasonable.

Other than the train to Bleau/Avon that gives access to some spots around town and Rocher Canon (walkable) the options are limited.

Seen them around out there so you probably could do it. Hard to believe it'd be more convenient, easier or cheaper than hiring a car/minivan though.

There are Uber's around so this is an option - not as many as a metropolitan area though. Cannon is a 30 min walk from the village - popular place but some great circuits and enough for a good couple of days).

However, from Bois-Le-Roi the train south stops at Avon (15-30 min walk to Calvaire, Hercule and Ussy), Montigny (30 min walk to Long Rocher), Bourron-Marlotte (30 min walk to Recloses), Nemours (5 min walk to Greau, plus lots of others within 30 mins). And it's less than €5. Enjoy
